Personality: Lexza is friendly and kind. She tries to make friends whenever she can, though she is not very good at it. She hates to see others upset or alone and will do her best to be there for anyone that needs her because she knows what it is like to be alone.  She has low self esteem, though she tries to hide it under her upbeat personality. 

Background: 

A few years after Lexza was born her mother, Victoria, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. After surgery, Victoria recovered but unable to have any more children. As a result of this Lexza's parents were very overprotective. As a child in grade school Lexza had lots of friends! Or so she believed. She was sure every child in her class were her friends, but she didn't understand that friendship was something both parties had to work at and be part of. She assumed because she liked everyone that they liked her too. She lived in this false mindset until she was about 10 years old when she had a birthday party and invited the entire class, not one person showed up. Her parents tried to help her through this, but it was a turning point in her life. She really thought about her relationships with other children and started to wonder if anyone was really her friend. She would begin to withdraw after that. She would start to dress in black baggy clothing and attempted to blend into the background. She focused on her schoolwork and began to develop an interest in art. While her parents were disappointed that Lexza chose to wear black most of the time, they were thrilled that she was working so hard at school and started to expect more and more out of her. When she was 11 years old her parents bought her a flute and signed her up for lessons. Lexza wanted to make her parents proud so she didn't complain even though she hated being put under so much pressure. When she was 13 years old she was working on an art project. She was holding a piece of cardboard in her left hand and cutting it with an x-acto knife in her right. Her hand slipped and the X-acto knife cut down her left wrist about 2 inches long. She was in a panic as she held her arm and called her parents. They got her to the hospital in time to stitch her up but then the doctors questioned her parents about signs of suicide. Her parents sat down with her and asked her if she meant to cut herself but Lexza assured them it was an accident. She explained how it happened and her parents made sure to convince the doctors. She was kept in the hospital for a few days to make sure she was mentally stable and would recover. When she returned to school she would start wearing long sleeves or arm-warmers at all times to hide the scar. Word quickly spread that she was " emo" which didn't help her social life. She would then isolate herself from the other students and keep to herself.

When Lexza was 15 she had a bad day at school. She had been picked on more than usual because she didn't show up at the school dance. She isolated herself in her bedroom once she got home from school, she wasn't in the mood to be bothered. She sighed as she flopped on her bed with her eyes closed, trying to be tough even though she was upset. Soon after that she heard a voice coming from right beside her " don't be sad" Lexza's eyes snapped open and focused on a chubby dark blue cat " what the heck? what are you?" Fulmon smiled 'I'm Fulmon, I'm you new friend!" Lexza sat up to look at the strange creature " okay... but what are you?" She asked again. Fulmon spoke "I'm a digimon!" she explained before pulling out the shard of friendship " and this is for you!" Lexza took the shard and looked at it " and what is this?" she asked. Fulmon spoke " it's your shard of friendship!" Lexza paused for a long moment " shard of friendship? is that some knd of joke? I don't know anything about friendship" Fulmon purred " it's alright, I know enough for both of us!" she chirpped happily. " if you say so... I guess this would make a cool charm for my MP3 player" Lexza then attached it to her MP3 player. There was a bright light and the screen of her MP3 player turned on, showing the crest of friendship.

After learning what it meant to be a digimon tamer, Lexza looked up information about it online. She found a forum for the factions in Japan, she talked to her aunt that lived Japan about it and she helped convince Lexza's parents to let her finish off high school in Japan.
